Dr. Smyth is a clinical neuropsychologist and the founder of CogniVita Center for Neuropsychology. She specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation across the lifespan, including assessments for attention, learning, memory, epilepsy, neurological conditions, genetic conditions, and complex diagnostic questions. Her approach includes a calm, supportive experience designed to help patients feel grounded, informed, and empowered.
Dr. Smyth earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology and specialized on the neuropsychology track at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. She completed a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at AdventHealth Orlando, where she gained extensive experience working with epilepsy and other medically complex populations, high-acuity cases, and interdisciplinary teams. She was also trained in advanced pre-surgical epilepsy procedures such as Wada testing and cortical mapping. She has extensive experience evaluating pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations.
Known for her ability to put patients at ease and commitment to excellence, Dr. Smyth created CogniVita to offer a higher standard of care. One where clients receive more time, personalized attention, and individually crafted evaluations that truly illuminate strengths, challenges, and next steps.
Her work is guided by the belief that clarity brings confidence, and that every individual deserves to understand their strengths and weaknesses.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Smyth enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog. She loves being outdoors, going on family walks, checking out new restaurants, and enjoying the theme parks Orlando has to offer. She is always up to experience Epcot’s seasonal festivals, and she will never turn down the chance to ride a rollercoaster!
